The decision to sponsor is a major one. Once objectives have been set we work with clients on a stage by stage approach to selection:

  1. Can a sponsorship potentially reach the objectives?
    • We review with the client each element to assess if sponsorship is the right form of communication.
  2. What activities match the target market, images and brand shifts that the objectives require?
    • We set up a matrix of requirements against a number of targeted activities and rate them for best fit based on data and information.
    • This eliminates activities (sports, arts, culture, entertainment etc) to provide a shortlist to take forward.
  3. What specific properties can be matched to the brand objectives?
    • Properties within the budget and available within the client’s timeframe are rated against key criteria.
    • A final shortlist of properties with key benefits and weaknesses is drawn up for dialogue and negotiation with rights holders.

Sports Marketing Surveys is not a rights owner and therefore we can provide comprehensive and independent reviews of individual activities and properties, utilising our unique in-house databases and knowledge.
